We, as a society want to be healed instead of doing the work necessary.
I am no different, I would much rather get a massage then use a foam roller.
Unfortunately, when somebody else “heals us,” we turn over the responsibility of our health and well-being to someone else.
This allows us to keep making poor choices that result in our pain, obesity, and chronic disease that we have gotten ourselves into.
We would rather go see a chiropractor to adjust us every other week, than to maintain a healthy spine through diet, CORRECT exercise, and regular movement. (I absolutely recommend going to see a chiropractor as a maintenance step, just not as a regular corrective modality.)
We MUST understand that if we are going to get out of pain and begin to heal ourselves we MUST take responsibility for our health.
This means that we need to stretch our tight muscles on a daily basis.
This means that we must strengthen our weak muscles on a regular basis.
This means that we need to eat the right diet for us as individuals.
This means that we must get our thinking right. (Our thinking creates unnecessary stress in our lives.)
All of these things add up to being able to heal ourselves.
